Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) Sales Lead

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue through the sale of our Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) product.


  • Mobilization of marketing strategies for the team to source new clients.
  • Development of action plans for individual team members to drive revenue generation.
  • Establish B2B partnerships with leading players in the Motor Insurance market including Underwriters and Brokers.
  • Manage partnerships to drive the sales of Mwananchi Credit’s IPF product using the partner’s sales and distribution infrastructure.
  • Manage partnerships to ensure effective Customer Experience from sales, underwriting to claims for both internal and external clients.
  • Manage the entire IPF portfolio, send out timely reminders to all IPF clients for payment, and manage the quality of the IPF loan book to ensure PAR is within the Company’s limits.
  • Preparation of Monthly business performance assessment reports i.e. IPF new business acquired, Renewal retention percentage, business lost, business sources etc.
  • Processing premium refunds for relevant IPF covers.
  • Following up on payment of premiums and processing remittance advice to Insurers accurately.
  • Conduct regular training for financier staff on IPF and other Bancassurance products.
  • Reporting claims and ensuring a seamless process for those accepted for settlement. Informing clients of claims rejected as well as reasons for the same.
  • Updating staff on the changes in the rating structure.
  • Keep abreast of all key insurance developments within the insurance industry locally, regionally and internationally
  • Developing a base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals, occupational, and special-interest groups to compile lists of prospects.
  • A key deliverable would be to acquire, retain and create strategic partnerships with Insurance companies, Brokers, and agents. 
  • Giving sound insurance advisory services and support to clients, selling insurance policies to internal and external customers.
  • Proper and efficient coordination and administration of insurance services in the Company for both internal and external clients in conjunction with the bancassurance department.


  • At least one-year experience in IPF sales and marketing in a non-banking financial institution.
  • You are good in building relationships and managing a team
  • Strong analytical skills including excel
  • You have strong time planning and multi-tasking skills
  • You are a strong strategic thinker with self-determination
  • You are highly motivated and an ambitious individual with unquestionable integrity
